How easy is it to walk to the Sea?For the able bodied the walk down to the sea is a pleasant one down to Emsworth. It will take about 30-45minutes. If you are less than able-bodied then you may find this difficult. There are several ways to go but the nicest is down to the village and through Lumley to Emsworth. This can largely be completed on paths and tracks which makes it ideal if you have children. Ask for a map if you want to go this way.
Do you accept dogs at Sawmills Farm?Yes, we are pleased to welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs (with well behaved owners) per reservation. We ask that dogs be kept on short lead while on site. We know that dogs leave deposits and so we ask that owners clean them up as well.
Can I request a specific pitch or pitches?Yes . Our pitches are named, so you take care when you book to make sure you book the pitch that best suits your needs.
Do any pitches have a sea view? The campsite is only 2 miles from Chichester harbour. You can get a glimpse of the sea from some angles but usually the trees and hedges sadly block this.
Do you have Wi-Fi?Yes. We have free wi-fi on the entire site so you can get online in your tent or caravan.
Do you allow BBQ’s / firepits / open fires?BBQ’s and fire pits are allowed as long as they are properly supervised until fully cool, are raised off the grass, and the ash properly disposed of when cold so there is no risk of re-ignition. We do not allow firepits or open fires on the grass.
What will I need to connect to your electric hook-up?If you have requested an electric hookup, you will need to bring your own Electrical HookUps (EHU). These are sold complete at most reputable camping outlets and typically between £30-50.
What happens if your site is closed owing to a lockdown imposed by Local or National Government because of COVID-19 or any other similar occurrence? We’ll take your instructions for either a full refund of all money paid for your reservation, or rescheduling to another date in the same season if appropriate and subject to availability. Your choice, but you won’t lose any money.
